So How Important is Sex?

Sex is that space where you go to be intimate, loving, and connected, so when you've been dating someone for a while how important is the sex? Does that connection and the intimacy take a backseat to a stronger emotional connection? Or do we just get lazy and complacent?

  1. Apparently I'm the only one commenting, so I'll give you my take. Sex in a committed relationship is very important, but it differs for every single couple out there. Some couples are intimate a few times a week whereas other couples are only intimate once every few months.

A sexual relationship with your partner helps you connect on a different level than just conversation. It helps build and strengthen your emotional connection, especially when you have been with your partner for a number of years.

Exploring new things, both in and out of the bedroom, together is what helps strengthen that bond even more...but it is when you get lazy and complacent with your relationship that things start to go sour.

People who have good relationships make it look easy and effortless, but you must remember that no relationship is easy and they all require scheduled maintenance.
